Meet the team

This is the first team in the long-term initiative for the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie, led by Master Pastry Chef Gustaf Mabrouk.

Michaela Andersten
Chocolate Candidate

Michaela works at Panem and has previously competed in the Junior World Championship, the Swedish Praline Championship and the Swedish Young Bakers Championship. “I usually say that I work best under pressure. Competing at this level is therefore a chance both to put my technical skills to the test and to express my creativity on an international stage.”

Ice Candidate

Lennart runs his own company, LennArtIce, sculpting ice in Sweden, Europe, India and North America. “Competing for Sweden in the ice discipline feels fantastic. Now I hope my craft can take us all the way to the world championship.”

Magnus has a long background in both competition pastry and professional craftsmanship. He represented Sweden at the World Pastry Championship in 2006 and also won Årets Konditor, the Swedish Pastry Chef of the Year title, in 1996.

Team Manager for Team Sweden

Master Pastry Chef Gustaf Mabrouk is a pastry chef and chocolatier with a passion for chocolate and the craft behind it. He became Swedish pastry champion at just 19 and has since worked everywhere from gourmet restaurants in New York to artisan pastry shops in Sweden. “We are going to make the Swedish Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie team known both nationally and internationally.”

Next team forming this autumn

In the autumn of 2026, a new team will be selected with the goal of qualifying for the Coupe du Monde via the European qualifiers in Lausanne in 2028. More information will be available shortly.
